Comments: Corsairfly's (Corsairfly.com) (Paris-Orly) Airbus A330-243 F-HBIL (msn 320) is nicely pictured departing from runway 24R at Montreal (Trudeau) dressed in TUI's in-house 2001 livery. The company was established in 1981 and started operations on May 17, 1981 as Corse Air International. It was founded by the Corsican Rossi family and was later acquired by Nouvelles Frontières, a French tour operator. In 1990 the name was changed to Corsair. In 2000 tour operator TUI AG acquired control off Nouvelles Frontières. In 2004, Corsair aircraft were repainted with the blue TUI colors. At the end of 2005 the TUI Group, decided to rename all its affiliated airlines TUIfly. As an interim step Corsair aircraft were repainted in Corsairfly.com markings, although all airlines in the group are expected to adopt the common TUIfly brand. Corsairfly is also expanding with new service in North America with Miami coming on line on June 11, 2010. Copyright Photo: Gilbert Hechema.
