Continental Airlines Continental 737 300 N12318 (91)(Grd) MIA (BD)(LR) 100057

Comments:  Boeing 737-3T0 N12318 (msn 23369) of Continental Airlines (Houston) taxies from the gate at Miami in the 1991 livery. The company delayed the final retirement of the venerable 737-300 type from the end of 2009 to March 29, 2010 when the pictured N12318 operated the last revenue flight (CO 1406) between San Diego and Houston (Bush Intercontinental). Ironically N12318 introduced the 1991 brand in February 1991. N12318 in January 2010 was also the only CO 737 without Blended Winglets. The smaller 737-500s will be phased out in late 2010 or early 2011. CO started its long career with the 737-300 on June 17, 1985 when 737-3T0 N16301 was acquired. Copyright Photo: Bruce Drum.
